iOS Application & Website · missoulacares.org
Effective Date: January 1, 2025This Privacy Policy describes how Missoula Cares ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Missoula Cares iOS mobile application and the companion website located at www.missoulacares.org (collectively, the "Service").
Missoula Cares is a free community resource directory designed to help individuals experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or hardship locate services in Missoula, Montana. Because of the sensitive population the app serves, we have made a deliberate commitment to collect no personal information whatsoever from our users.
We do not collect, store, process, or transmit any of the following:
Because we collect no data, we have nothing to sell, share, or disclose. There are no data brokers, advertisers, or analytics partners involved in the operation of this Service.
The Missoula Cares app includes an interactive Apple Maps view that displays local resource locations. iOS may request permission to access your device's location in order to center the map on your current position and make navigation more convenient.
If you grant location permission, please be aware of the following:
You may decline location permission entirely and still use all features of the app. The map will simply display the Missoula area without centering on your position.
Missoula Cares does not integrate any third-party analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics or Firebase), advertising networks, or social media SDKs.
The following limited third-party components are used solely to provide core functionality:
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the privacy practices of Apple or GoDaddy. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies if you have questions about those services.
Missoula Cares is intended for general audiences, including families and individuals of all ages who may be seeking community assistance. The Service is not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.
Because we collect no personal information from any user of any age, the app is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). There is nothing to collect, and therefore nothing that can be improperly collected from a minor.
If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through this Service, please contact us immediately using the information in Section 8 and we will investigate promptly.
Because Missoula Cares collects no personal information, there is no personal data stored on our servers that could be compromised in a data breach. The resource directory data (organization names, addresses, phone numbers, and descriptions) is publicly available information that we compile and maintain for community benefit.
We take reasonable precautions to protect the integrity of our website and app, including maintaining secure hosting and keeping our software dependencies up to date.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Because we do not collect contact information, we are unable to notify users directly of policy changes. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
This policy was last updated on January 1, 2025.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, please reach out to us. We are happy to answer any questions you have.
